ok guys, im sick of my current insurance. prices are way too high. and the guy wont cut any money off. im under my parents plan, and i want to get my own. heres the low down.

Discounts
-5 cars on the policy, plus homeowners insurance
-student (even though im out of school)
-honor roll prgram
-defensive driving taken
-im not even listed under my stang, im listed under my mom's '02 WRX

Stats
-Allstate
-20
-male
-$1,000 deductable
-bare bones as far as medical/property damage coverage
-5 speeding tickets in the past 3 years

Payment
$175/month or $1,050/6 months

so what companies are you using? what are your payments? hopefully guys my age will respond so i can get some ideas.

I have a couple of tickets and I am 26 years old. No accidents though. Anyways I was paying 201 a month through statefarm, than 170 a month through allstate. Now I am paying 96 a month through esurance.com thats for full coverage with the maximum amount of coverage and a 1K deductible...

qfmft!

allstate is rediculous on prices. we're insured though statefarm and they have been so helpful and great prices too.

i think i'm paying $620 every 6 months for:
- full coverage on my GT
- liability on the wifes '01 rodeo

i'm 21, she's 20, no tickets(on record) for either of us. but we do get a small discount for having a house insurance policy too.

auto insurance is a funny thing. there are so many variables used to determine rates that you wouldn't even expect to be factors.

we all know that age, gender, and driving record are used to determine rates, but did you know that where you live and even your credit rating effects your payment?

different people whith the same car and drving recoerd can end up with different rates from the same company.

for instance:

i have Allstate and pay $150 a month for my Mustang and SVT Focus combined. and that's full coverage on both.

as can how far you drive it annually. When we moved here, we went from living less then a mile from work to over 20. That made a huge difference

I insure full coverage on my 00 Mustang GT and my 00 Lincoln LS(v6) w/$1,000 deductibles, limited tort, and the minimum for the rest of the coverages and I pay $151/month for full coverage on both cars. I'm 28 and have a clean record. I have Progressive. I would also check State Farm. They have good rates also.
