Ok, I've had my brembo cross drilled rotors for almost a year now, and they are warped all to hell, kinda pissed about it but whatever, they wont warranty them. So now im checking out new rotor options, I was thinking of just going oem vented discs, but I really like the way the cross drilled ones look behind the wheels. Anyone had any experience with anything else, cross drilled or slotted from say powerslot, or rotorpros or something like that? Saw stillen has some rotors too. I just dont want to buy brakes and have them go bad in a year again. Also, I know the slotted rotors will wear my pads out quicker, but how much quicker? How long have your brakes lasted?

Just go with regular OEM Bullit/Cobra rotors and pads. Don't mess with the slotted or drilled rotors.

Did you buy the "real" Brembo cross drilled or did you get the Brembo solids that are drilled by an aftermarket company?

My real Brembo's have been about 2 years now with no warping.

I bought the cross drilled ones from buybrakes.com and they charged me 270 or something like that so I would assume that they are the real ones. Did I just get the shaft with some defective rotors?? That wouldnt surprise me knowing my luck. Where did you get yours from, and how much?

I got mine from Tirerack, and that's about the same price I paid.

Do you auto-x the car at all?

Auto-x = Autocross. Hard driving and hard braking. Usually hell on brake systems.

I've seen some Brembo rotors with a bad warp before, but I have no idea where they came from, so they could have been the redrills like San-man was talking about.

Yea, it was kinda late when I read that last night. No it doesnt get auto crossed at all, which is why I dont understand why they warped so damn fast. Im usually really good to my brakes, dont drive them hard then let them sit, I try to cool them down slowly. Think ima just end up with oem rotors, kinda on a budget right now anyway I guess. I didnt think that website would sell me redrills, but I guess I could be wrong.

Rotorpros.com will send me the front cross drilled rotors for $110 shipped. Anyone use these rotors before?? If they are not good quality I would rather pay $60 per rotor and get oem non drilled rotors that I know are good. Also, what kind of pads have you guys used? I had brembo pads on my old integra and the wheels were dirty in like 2 days, big pain.

OEM rotors on a Bullitt are actually true Brembo's minus all the crossdrilling. They are pretty damn good rotors. I've had mine for a year with OEM/PBR pads and no warpage and i use them hard. Low dust, low noise, damn good performance


FYI, most of these Brembo crossdrilled/slotted rotors are done by 3rd party groups, especially the ones sold on Ebay. www.tirerack.com is a good source for unmodified Brembo rotors.

Yea, I think ima just end up with oem rotors. I know people here have painted the hub of the rotor before, anyone got any pics?? What paint did you use and how did you mask off the rotor?

I used the Duplicolor brush on kit for the calipers. These were Mach 1 calipers, so i didn't like the flat black color and wanted something like the bullitts

For the rotors i used high temp engine paint. It's Duplicolor's Engine Enamel. The color is Cast Coat Aluminum DE1650.

Does it last? Well this pic is 1 year old. How's that??? (I do regularly clean them)
