timing gears

does anyone make timing gears to replace the timing chains? i didn't do something right with the timing chains and now i have to replace them after the new engine. any thoughts would be appreciated.

I do not believe so. On an OHV engine this is doable as the distance from crank to cam is fairly short. But on the 4.6 you'd have to have a dozen gears to connect crank to cam, and that would introduce too much slop and friction, not to mention cost...
