Timing pointer missing?

I have been trying to check my timing for the past couple of days. And I have came to the conclusion that my timing pointer is missing. I have not been able to find it and I think it is just gone!

Is it a bracket held on by bolts or is it part of the block?

And if it is a bracket, where can I get a new one?

LRS should have new ones for ya. there are lots of flashy ones out there too.

as i recall, it sits at about 10 o'clock when facing the front of the motor.
