Timing question

Hey guys, just wondering if you can set your timing without the car being at idle. My car wont idle on its own now so I was wondering if you can do it with the throttle partially up. Thanks!

i believe it will throw your timing way off if you have it partially on throttle and you wont be able to read it. did you remove the spout connector first then set the timing ?

If you pull the spout connector there won't be any spark advance so you should be able to set the timing at part throttle. I'd use as little throttle as possible just in case.

my mistake. i did this to my 4 banger and it wasnt reading any timing. different world though
