any one know what the stock timing degrees r on a 99 3.8? also i am turning the cam position sensor and its not moving my timing? i have a 94 block w 99 sensor may b thats the problem? thnx

The cam synchronizer used has to match the engine harness and PCM. So if the PCM expects a 3 wire cam sync, that is what HAS to be used.
The 2 wire and 3 wire cam synchronizers are very different and thier signals are NOT compatible with each other.
Next, the timing on a 99 can not be adjusted. The timing is under full control of the PCM. Any attempt to alter the timing will undermine the PCM control of timing.
The cam synchronizer must be installed using the correct tool. If not, expect problems.
