Ok my car had 35% tint on all but the drivers door and windshield and I pulled it all out and cleaned my windows last night so I could install new tint (doing it myself) so I was just wondering if any of you had any tips on doing a job good or if you have any pics of cars with 20% or maybe even 5%?
I am thinking I will go with 20% all around and 2 1/2% on the sunroof:shrug: but I want to see how dark 20% would be, and I will have a local shop do the rear hatch glass for me. And instead of tinting over the dot matrix on the 3 rear windows I will have the tint stop just before the dots and paint the dots with some flat black paint so I won't have to worry about the tint slowly rising due to being over the dots like my old tint was.
Anyways any tips, pics or suggestions will be appreciated.:nice:

Depends on your state limit..most states are 35% limit.......my mustang is 20% which i always drive with the windows down so i dont get a ticket....but ef em anyways......my ranger got 5% it was that way when i bought it....i am going to change it to 20% cuz its my daily driver and i dont need any tickets....so come spring with warm weather.......you want to tint them on a hot day so the glue cures you cant put your windws down for 3 days after anyways...i say check ur limit and do 20%...most states are illegal to tint the windshield

Have the tint shop do the whole thing so the tinting matches. It's only like $150 max, so why try and save a few bucks to do it yourself. Most tints the pros use are high quality tints that do not turn purple 3-5 years down the road.

I just got my car tinted today 35% all around. I wish i took some pics. It looked damn good. Keep in mind, 35% tint film over factory windows is a little darker and will read about 28-31% on a meter, so it's still could be considered illegal.
