Hey all I'm just about to order a 255lph Walbro fuel pump and I was wondering if you guys could run me through the steps of installation? Is it pretty easy/self explanatory? Any little tips that could help me out. Thanks, hope you guys can help.

It's really simple, simply disconnect the tank fasteners, fuel lines, etc. I'd recommend letting the fuel tank be almost empty before dropping it which will make it much easier to handle. Really you shouldn't have any problems. Oh another thing you should go to a ford dealership to pick up a new rubber seal for your tanks fuel neck I believe since these seem to deteriorate over time.

remember to get yourself a new set of clips for your fuel assembly to fuel lines. Make sure to drain tank, and remember to use a brass rod or something non-sparking when removeing the ring from the tank. You will also need a crimping tool to install the new wire ends on the fuel pump (if I remember correctly). And mark which way your sock filter is in your tank before taking it out!
good luck
all in all about a 30 min job.....if you have good luck!

A guy on a local board posted his site for fuel pump replacement. It looked pretty good to me. I am about to order my walbro 255lph here pretty soon. Maybe this will help you.
