Hey guys, my friend told me that my passenger side wheel is wobbling and i cant figure out what it is. I also had noticed that my rear driver side slick was constantly losing air but i just noticed that that rim seems to be bent but that doesnt seem to contribute to the problem. My friend told me that it seems to only wobble a little but i havent noticed this while driving or anything so i cant figure out whats wrong. Oh well, now i need to get my bent rim fixed so i can take it into a shop to check it out so i just seem to keep getting problems. Does it seem like i have a bent axle or maybe something smaller?

what makes you think the bent wheel isn't the problem? Are you sure the lugnuts are on tight? Have you pulled the wheel off and and spun the rear to see if you can see any wobbling? Maybe try a different set of tires/wheels on the back and see if it still wobbles. Just a few ideas.

Another idea to consider are the bearings and races. A chewed up bearing does not always cause noise, especially if it's still well greased. I've also seen a bearing race actually canted inside of the hub (not on a Stang but still a possibility). If you find that either of those conditions are your problem, make sure you inspect the spindle/axle for that wheel when you go to fix the problem.

on our notch, it was apparent the car had been in some sort of accident at one point or other dr side rear. In our case it was a bent axle shaft. If you have smacked a curb hard, that could happen. Switch the front wheels to the back and vice versa and see if the problem follows.

thanks for the info guys. the cars got a 33" spline with a totally rebuilt rear end and im hoping the strange axel's didnt bend. im hnping it might be the lateral runout with the tire like someone previous stated.
