Tired frontend.

My ball joints are making noise and the car pulls when you roll over cracks in the road.
1. What would be the best thing to do for my frontend. It is all stock except the struts have been replaced.
2. What else should I replace?
3. And how much money are we talking about?
I would like to lower it some and make it handle better.

What's your budget and how well do you want it to handle?

If you're just trying to fix the stuff that's wrong, grab a set of 03 front control arms for about $160. They have new balljoints and stiffer bushings allready installed. It'll cost you that much to have someone else press new parts into your stock arms. Plus, you'll get the benefit of the updated arm design.

Again, not knowing your budget (or goals with the car, i.e. do you drag it at all? Street only?), I really can't advise on any other course of action... Strict budget? Get some springs and subframes, have fun. Big budget? Forget the 03 arms and go all tubular in the front with coilovers all the way around. See my point? There's a wide range of options.

Well the track is 5 miles from my house and I have draged raced there 4 times and ran it on the road coarse once (wasted a set of tires and break pads)
I have about $500 to spend on the front end. My son got me subframes for xmas.

i have a fox, so some of this might not transfer over, but here is what i might do:

ball joints (dont let those go too long - when they let go, bad things happen!). as said, do the LCA bushings (i would go poly - probably the same price or cheaper than the elastomer OEM stuff). if springs are out (with LCA's), i would get new poly spring isolators (cheap). springs too?

then (on a fox) the anti-sway bar is loose (end links) so end links and sway bushings (poly) are a good idea.

on struts, check the bushing on the top. again, poly replacements are pretty cheap. im sure there is other stuff, but that is what thought of off the cuff and what i might do (my take is that if something is out or comes out easily since other prerequisite stuff is out, might as well renew it).
