Tired of waiting on my 2012

ok at this point and time i'm tired of waiting and being given the runaround on my 2012 mustang gt order. i originally order an 11 on december 5th but fell into the cut off for the start of the 2012. Dealer never informed that i fell into the cutoff. i read it on this site and went in to check on my order on december 30th and thats when i was informed i had to order a 2012.

so december 30th i ordered a 2012 and i'm still waiting on it. about the beginning of march i checked on the order and was told it would be in march 28. went in the dealership to check on it the week of the 28th and was informed it was pushed back. so since then it has had about 8 different dates.

it was supposed to b in yesterday but i didn't recieve a call from the dealership and i'm sure when i go in there on monday morning i'm going to get the bull**** response of it has gotten pushed back again.

so what do u guys think i should? is there anyway i can check on my car myself or what not

just curious, what color did you order? I was going through the daily printouts pulling parts invoices and included are the new vehicle delivery routes. Any car that was black or red says "production delayed, no date for production at this time."

Black and red are both delayed, IIRC because the pigment comes from Japan and the factory that made it no longer exists after the earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

Black may be the ideal color for the nicely redone 2011 Chrsyler 300, but dealers are restricted from ordering that color and several others because a potential pigment shortage from a Japanese supplier.CAPTIONChryslerChrysler is now the second U.S. automaker to restrict orders for its brands' cars in certain paint colors because they use pigment that comes from suppliers in Japan. We expected shortages of things such as computer chips and LCD screens, but we didn't see this one coming.

Because of a "potential" pigment shortage while Japan is recovering from the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters, Chrysler told dealers the company will restrict ordering vehicles in these colors: brilliant black, blackberry, deep cherry red, redline, inferno, bronze star, rugged brown, hunter green, ivory and billet metallic.

"Please submit any outstanding orders by the close of business March 28 so that we may work toward prioritizing these special orders," said a memo sent today by Steve Beahm, vice president of U.S. sales operations, and reported by the our colleague Greg Gardner of the Detroit Free Press.

That's a bunch more colors than Ford, which we reported here has stopped taking orders for vehicles in "tuxedo" black and a few shades of red. As we reported, the pigment involved gives the paints their metallic look and is produced by a second-tier supplier for the company's paint supplier.

The black that is in shortage is a metallic black and not the black that is used for the Mustang.

I've seen a few black ones pop up at a dew local dealers. A bit out of my price range though. I recently found a black one for 33,000 that I may go get since I'm tires of waitig on mine. Only thing is it doesn't come with the 3.73 gears

I feel like my car should have been a priority and been here first. The dealership I ordered from has about 10 2012 5.0's sitting on the lot and no telling how long they will sit there cuz in baton rouge, Louisiana the people who actually drive sports cars r driving the camaro smh. Stangs sit on the lot a while down here so I feel like y was mine not ordered and rushed through when it's a guarunteed sale as opposed to the ones on the lot that may sit for a while and actually have been sitting for over 2 months cuz I pass the dealership on the way to work daily

there's even a black one fully loaded for 39k if I had the funds I'd definately get that one but I dnt lol

I ordered my '12 Lava Red car today. I just couldn't find one close enough to what I wanted -- it seems that all of the dealer inventory around here is either a zero option base car or a fully loaded GT so either $29k or $40k. I finally gave up and placed an order. I'm with you on the fundage and the screwy order in which cars get ordered sometimes.

mine was built on april 8th and i still haven't gotten it yet. This is some serious BS on Fords part.

you might as well buy a stupid slomaro. at least GM will be able to ship you youre ****ty car.

i ordered mine December 22nd also.

edit: never buying a new Ford car again and don't tell me it's not there fault. you pay ~$800 for shipping and they cant even deliver a car in a timely fashion. My dealership is literally right down the highway from the Mustang plant too.

Maybe they have a skewed eye for business.....the special ordered car is sold......they cannot sell what is not on the lot for the walk in buyer to take. They send dealer orders faster to be able to sell to the walk in customer. Just a thought...

Have any of you waiting for new Mustangs done anything other than complain on the internet or to a semi-retarded car salesman? Surely Ford has some customer service people that might could help?

I know that Deysha who floats in every now and again can help with information. There is also a customer service line that can provide information. I don't know that any of those folks can DO anything for you but at least they can give you the true story if you are getting the runaround from your dealer.

Ok just as sure I started this thread my mustang arrived at the dealership. Base model gt with 3.73 gears. Right now it stands at 28,500 came down from right at 31,000. So going do all the paperwork In the morning with my bank and what not. Only thing I'm not liking is they aret giving me **** for my 2004 gt. Dude only wants to give me 3500 for it.

Kelly blue book value excellet condition is 7000 and good is 6000 and fair is 5000. I'll b honest since getting engaged and letting the fiancé drive my car and she let's the kids eat from time to time i'd give it fair. But I'm shooting for 4k. Guess I'll let y'all know how it goes in the morning

4k should be doable if the initial offer was 3500. The trade in is where they are going to make their money on this one. I remember 4 years ago when I traded my 2001 with 70k miles they gave me 7500 for it. I drove by the lot a week later and it was for sale at 13500! Stick to your guns and get what you want -- ordered car or not.

got 3750 for it. i'm a proud owner of a 2012 gt now and my car note is exactly where i wanted it to b when i first considered ordering the car. and my credit score was good enough that i got a 3 percent interest rate and i dont have to make a payment for 2 months ahem ahem sounds like extra money to buy mods right lol
