alrite guys I've got a problem. I have a set of 28x11.5x15 MT ET street tires on a set of 2 piece draglite rims. I was wondering if I could fit some smaller tires on them that are not soo wide. I think its too much tire for a pretty much stock set up. I have 3.73 gears in the rear and a stock t-5 what do you guys recommend going with? I was thinking something like 26x10.5x15 and would any of you want to trade these tires? I have no use for them for a smaller set of slicks.

Try heating and beating the inner fenderwell. That should help.

It could be an issue of rims as well.

What size/backspacing are the rims?

I have no idea on the backspacing, I am going to have to measure it. I do know they are 15x9's atleast thats what I was told when I bought them. the tires are giving me a problem rubbing up on the quad shock I saw in another thread someone switching the position of the quad shock maybe that'll help with the clearance. and either way don't you guys think these tires are too big? 28x11.5x15? the only reason I have them is because they came with the deal on the rims....so I figures heck I might as welll run them and see how I do. you guys have any recommandations on a smaller tire?

28" tire is definatly too big. go with a 26x10.5 or 26x11.5 ET Streets, or maybe a 26x8.5 or 26x10 ET Drag. hoosier sizes should run about the same. any way you look at it, the 28" tires are hurting performance.

Ditto, 28's are killing your effective axle ratio.
