Tires

Hey Guys, 65er here again! Im going back to the original wheel and tire for my 65. Or trying anyway! I have 195/75/14 4 lug what i think is original, Black steel wheel ,Question is can a Guy go to a 205/70/14 and fit the wheel well or will it be to wide? I cant find the original size in Cooper Cobra and thats the best they could find! I could get them In Hankook tires,NO Thank you! Any thought's I'm all ears!

205/70/14 tire is as close as you will get to the original wheel/tire combo. That was the set up up on my 65 pictured

. Since then I have changed wheels but still run the same tire size. Brian.

Hey Brian, thanks for the response! I would love to change wheels and tires but, trying to find Cragar 4 lug is a bear, practically impossible! Anyway think I'm gonna stick with the original black steel rims. For now I'll try to find a tire that looks good on those! Thanks again!

Your tire width will also be limited by wheel width. I think your stock 6-cylinder rims were only 4-1/2". This may restrict you to a 185/75-14.
