To Rocker or not to Rocker....Take the poll

Ok guys...

I was able to come up with some additional money I think....

I am getting the car bak from the shop this week with the new floor pans and exhaust...

I think I can swing having it painted in the next 5 weeks...

My Question is this...

Keep the rocker mouldings or ditch them?

If I ditch them stripes or no stripes???

65 fastback
Caspian Blue original color...going back original color...maybe some flake???
Blue interior
Had/has Rocker mouldings

I am also thinking about loosing the bumper guards what do you think?

Also I sure wish someone made a front valance like foose did on overhaulin...

are you talking about the chrome rocker panel moldings or the rocker panels themselves?

Personally, I would just remove them, fill in the holes and smooth it all out. No stripes. Just my opinion though.

Certainly don't remove the rocker panels!!!!

Rocker mouldings is another question. I've never been a fan of them on an early car unless you're going for a "luxo" build vs. performance.

I like the moldings myself, especially on a coupe but it is all about personal preference. If you aren't using stripes then I would consider replacing them. They frame the bottom edge of the car and hide the fender/rocker panel gap which helps the flow of the bodylines in my opinion.
