Been there, done that...If you dont use it or dont plan on using it go ahead...but as soon as it gets hot out you are gonna miss it. It saves alot of weight and does in fact clean up the engine bay...but you really have to weight the bennefits/consequences. Mine see's primarily track duty/cool evening nights so i wen ahead and ripped it out, p/s too.

I Defently Like My P/s Lol
The A/c Im In The Air With I Use It But Not That Much....
I Like The Way The Engine Bay Looks Without It...
I Am Stationed In Nc And It Gets Hot As Balls Here....
I Have Windows That Roll Down Lol.....
This Is Only The Second Car I Owned Where The Ac Worked So I Know I Can Live Without It.
Ive Had 5 Other Cars And Only The Oldest A 79 Malibu Had Cold Ac Lol Go Figure...

I don't know if I would do it. I use mine a lot jsut for a cool breeze in the summer. Although it would be nice to not have all of the clutter...

Pics of it deleted would be nice... And how much weight we talking here?

It really depends on how much you use it and where you live. If you ask someone in texas or az they will say keep it and if you ask someone in a cool part of the us they will say you dont need it. Really you have the answer for you own question. I live in texas and i'm keeping mine installed.

This will a topic of personal choice. Ask your self, do you use it now, will you in the future, will your significant other (now or in the future) only ride in it if it has AC? Will you ever sell it or use it as a trade in? Are the gains worth the loss? Oh, and are you planning to move in the next 5-6 years... to a warmer place? For me personally, I want both the speed and the AC. I polished my AC lines so they dont look as much as a eye sore on my previous stang so I wasn't motivated to remove the system. :D

I took mine out when I redid the motor. That lasted about 2 weeks before I was putting it back on. Just spoiled I guess. If it functions, I would leave it on, especially right now with temps up near 100. Just my opinion.

daily ride-no question keep it. race car/weekend cruiser-ditch it. just for reference, i have it blowing snow in my 95, and dont have ac or p/s in the 94.
:nice:

I don't drive mine out much and especially in rain. I drove it out and got stuck in a storm once and my windows fogged up like a mofo and it felt like an oven.

It also sucks in the winter if it's humid out or raining b/c the windshield fogs up and the heat alone won't clear it easily.

If I drove it as a DD, no way I'd remove it. :nono:

If you have a nice bay, then yes. If not, then don't do it. I went through my whole bay and deleted mine in the process and it looks Waaaaaaayyyyy better. I don't miss it too much. It has been worth it.

Not the best before pic, buit you get the idea:

I have now painted the CAI and cleaned up a few more wires, vac lines etc.. New pics to come shortly. If I didn't get compliments on my engine bay, I would probably put my air back in, but it looks too good without it.

my a/c was down cause a line melted about a year ago. i found my self driving my dad's ss camaro cause it had a/c. just finally about 2 weeks ago got the a/c fixed and have never been happier. i say deal with the clutter and keep it.
