So i've got the mods in my sig.. I've been thinking about some other mods, not sure on what though, but the one that has not crossed my mind is a tuner. From what i've heard, i may be running lean right now, and that is a :nono: . Should i invest in a tuner? Of course i am going to get one, but i wanted to get some other stuff first (LCA's, Pullies, LT's, etc..) But should i put those off and get the tuner right away? Anf if so, how is the SCT Xcallibrator 2?

well i have heard good things about the SCT X-2....i heard modular depot is a good place to purchase it because they will send you tunes over your computer(they provide your tuner with a usb cable) which would make it easy to upgrade and keep your car tuned...

Yeah, i was reading about that.. seems like a geat deal. But my issue is not wether or not to get one, because i will eventually. I'm just worried that i am running to lean now.. and if i continue to do so, will damage my motor. If it can wait a month or so, i will put it off, but if i need to have it, i will purchase it ASAP..

hmm, judging by what you have now, i would say you dont NEED it, but it would grow with you and if you have the cash, then i will say get it

hope that wasnt too confusing

You can get tunes via email also with the predator. :nice:

The best way is to take the predator or excalibrator to the dyno and get a custom tune to your car. They will load the custom tune to your tuner.

You should not need a tune yet. If you are in the market for a custom tune, it does not matter which flash tuner (SCT or Diablo) you use. If I were buying a brand new tuner, I would seriouly consider an XCal 2, however used Predators are available for $250 or so. If you are going to get a tune locally, use whichever flash tuner is compatible with the software at the shop you use.

I only ran lean after I installed the Diablo tune. That was when the Pred. first came out for the Mustang...they had a lot of problems with the tune. I was running so lean the check eng. light came on. After I got the tune from RWTD I was OK. I would say hold off untill you have more mods.
