Well, it is a sad night, the new owner is here to pick up the fastback, and of course he loves it. So I bid my fastback a fond farewell and thank it for the great memories I will keep from it. Knowing I will find a convertible really seems to help getting through this.

sorry you sold your FB. I have been thinking of selling mine for financial reasons, but havent made the decision yet. Still praying for an upturn in my business.

I know, that's why I had to keep it hush hush, at least from Blake. But as they say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. For me, I wanted to finish the car but it would be a few years before I could afford to do anything to it. This way, I can start with another project, a convertible, and build it as I can afford too. I will miss it, but I look forward to my future stangs.

Yeah, I checked it out, looks great, nice work. Did you replace the front pillar at all, where the door bolts too? That is the one that is bent, can I replace that one in the same manner?

The front one can be done but it is much harder to get out....use the experience of removing the panel from the donor vehicle to teach you what you will need to do on the receiving vehicle to prevent you from destroying metal that is critical.

How bent is it? If it is only a little then pulling it might be the best....I thought you were talking about the door jamb area where the latch was. Can you get me a pic of the damage so I can give better advice?

If it's any consolation, I can feel your pain. I was the same way when I sold my 67-427 fastback. But cheer up, with a little luck I may be in possesion of another 427 next week.

If it's any consolation, I had a cuda 6 pack 440 6 pack shaker.. about 6 years ago I sold it... because i bought a house talk about a sad day I still feel the pain.... But last october i have saved some coin to but my 67 coupe by next summer I will be smokin the cuda's..just keep your head up Bro..
