I started trying to pull the passenger side head from my 98 GT and I got to the point where it was time to pull the timing chain cover. The intake manifold is off, valve cover, etc. I then realized maybe this is a project that is too indepth for my knowledge, but especially my time. I have the patience but I really don't want to screw anything up. I have to sell the car once this is done to pay off some stuff so there is a lot riding on this installation.
Ok so here's the deal...I called ford and they want $740 in labor to do one head. The spark plug hole is stripped out and the heli coil was not holding. So i bought a set of non pi heads for $50 plus 50 in shipping. And it's being resurfaced for 50. Is that price ok through ford or should i check elsewhere. I don't want to take it some place i've never heard of...i've had problems like that with my clutch and got ripped big time.
Sorry for the story but I'm not quite sure what to do anymore. I am taking leave in a couple of weeks and I just don't have the time to do this.
Thanks!!!!

as long as you follow the instructions, you should be ok, when you get frustrated just walk away..maybe have a friend come and hang out. just take your time and relax. i have wanted to brake sh** several times...just grab a beer/soda and cool off. you can do it!
