took car to get alligned......

i know a pothole can bend a control arm. it happen to me, but not in my stang it was another car.
take it to another place and get a second shop to look at it.
with my work van the place i would take it to could never get it just right. and after a while of driving it would seem to losen up. and i would go throught tires like crazy. finally when the place that does all my mechanic work on the van bought a machine they did a better job. seems like the other place kept putting shims on something everytime i took it there. so my mechanic took them all out and started fresh. all is good now.

Did they tell you which part was bent? I second the notion of going somewhere else to get a second opinion. Might want to think about getting some CC plates too....those are on my list.

i had a similer problem. When i bought my car, it had a bent tie rod. i got it replaced, and it wouldnt pull an alignment. Turns out my frame was bent, and some previous mechanic actually bent the tierod to pull an alignment. i just got my frame straigtened, and everything was fine. Bring it to a shop that specializes in frame repair, theyll tell you whats going on.
