Took the 91 s/c 351 to PIR last night, never been before. Had a ton of fun, will be back tonight. Still learning though, a buddy of mine drove. Got three passes in.

1st pass: 14.79 @ 108 1/8 mile burnout on M/T street legal drags at 20psi
2nd pass: 13.57 @ 109 spun through 1st and 2nd at 12psi
3rd pass: 15.somthing @ 71 on methenal 1/4 mile burnout at 8psi using both lanes.

Need to find some slicks. We had zero traction all night long. We've named the car El Diablo and it lived up to it's name last night.

So we're on the hunt for some slicks and more seat time to get'er dialed in. Also need a few more things to make Tech happy, small things like padding on the roll bar.

Think I'll run the 7-up vert tonight just to see what she can do as well as the 351.

Doh! That motor without the meth went ~12 flat on wore out Nitto drag radials with the aod, and low 11 in the teens with a stick (in a different car yet). Probably just need some more practice and maybe some suspension setup You'll get there!

The car is built... But the owners (Myself, and a friend) are a little lacking as drivers. It's easily a high tens car with the right driver and tires. It's a rebuilt 351 block with Edlebrock performer heads. TrickFlow upper and lower, a monster of a cam. FRP suspension, SFC's, 31 spline 5-lug and 4 wheel disks. 4.10's in rebuilt 8.8. Powerdyne pushin' 12lbs, and full MSD 6AL. A dry methonal system, as well as a Tremec AOD with a 3500 stall. Dyno before methonal was at 393 rwhp. The list of parts goes on.

It ran 2.2, 2.4 and 2.7 60'. The numbers don't really mean much right now since we can't seem to get any consistancy yet. But plain ol' seat time should solve most of that.

We did manage to brake the car on Saturday night in just two runs. It sounds like a very loose rocker arm, but we pulled the valve covers and didnt find anything wrong. So this weekend we are going to pull the motor and start the breakdown.

Got some pictures though, will get them scanned and on here soon.

The car will be ready to run again soon, the drivers on the other hand are still being built.

On a lighter note, found 4 slicks for $25 each, 3 runs on two of them and 5 on the other two.

FYI, the 7-up's best time of the night was a .230 R/T - 2.286 60' - 9.933 1/8th @ 70.75 - 15.802 @ 81.27 1/4. As Is, speaker box and all.

4.10's with a 351 and a supercharger??? I think you have wayyy too much gear. You need some much taller tires! Get at least 28 inch tall slicks.

So, we pulled the motor yesterday and found the number six piston in pieces... no damage to the cylinder wall or head so just need to get a new .030 piston and were back on the track. We're also going to eliminate one of the two methenal jets.
