tools need for diy fmic install

any of you guys who have done diy fmic plz chime in i am about to get started on mine and i wanted to know are there any speical tools or things to look out for when doing this install going to be doing it in parts

intercool mounting first then next time i have off work i will reinstall the blower and do the pipping

i will also be cutting a larger whole on the passenger side near the cai wall



now as for the tools i know some one said a dremel and some kind of metal cutting saw

I will be doing the same setup on my GT. Are you going to mount it into the bumper support? If so, you are going to need a metal cutter to get through that thick metal. I plan to mount mine from the radiator support, which doesn't require any cutting, except in the fender area.

i was planing to cut the support .

mounting it from radiator support will the intercooler get enuff air if mounted there ??

you need a torch, cutoff wheel or plasma cutter to cut the support. then i used some snips to cut the hole in the inner fender area. other than that just regular hand tools

sawzall, cutoff wheel/grinder, flux core welder, big hammer.
