Get a tuner. An SCT-2 will remove the speed limiter and also get rid of the dreaded hesitation on takeoff if programmed right. Check with Bamachips.com.

Hey that website Bamachips.com can I order a Xcal 2 for a Marauder from that site or does it have to be a different tuner?

says all ford, like 96 up or somthing, and i gurantee ford lincoln and mercury all use the same computer systems... so i would venture they would work on all of them, but thats my educated guess..

In the speed limiter table the number I have seen programmed in the computer has been 112 mph. MPH is based on tire rating to protect the manufacture of the tire and Ford.

I asked my dealer this past weekend and he said it wouldn't. There's mixed responses from dealers, but the general rule of thumb is that if something goes wrong with your car, Ford would have to prove that the tuner did the damage. Ultimately, the dealerships don't care. If you bring your car in for warranty work, it's money in their pockets.

So which is the best tuner to take the speed limiter off. Is it really easy to use the tuner chip ? Should i get a turner chip rather than dual exhaust ?
