Just installed my torque box reinforcements today. Got them off ebay from dynamicracing, nice boxes and bolted up nicely. They took me about 1.5 hours for both sides. Any other experiences, and times. All together an easy upgrade.

Also got to use my new craftsman 26 gallon air compressor. Also very happy with it.

No pics, I'll be working on the mustang next weekend, so Ill see if I can snap some pics then. As for welding, no I did not weld them. I was reading on the forums and read that it wont make much of a difference if any to weld. Being that there is absolutely no room up in there to weld, would not be able to get a ncie clean weld anyway.

We need pics, I got my Southsides last week, not putting them in without battle boxes of some sort. These didn't require cutting or anything?

Nope no cutting. What they are is a l shaped bracket that sits inside the factory torque boxes. here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/79-0...emQQcategoryZ33583QQitemZ8077097054QQtcZphoto

You will not gain a fraction of time/HP with reinforcements. It is preventive maintenance. Its just keeping the boxes from tearing!

yep, i have everything welded on my car for when somethin big and hairy goes in, you might as well weld it in, believe me you can make some nice welds up in there, grind it smooth and paint it, and forget it!!

This is one thing i want to get before I start regularly putting slicks on my car. Dealing with ripped torque boxes can make or break a car. I've heard welding up all the seams on the underbody and welding washers as reinforcements for the bolt holes helps greatly as well.
