I am about to do subs, upper and lower control arms. Does our torque boxes need attention like the fox bodies? I am not running much HP but I will be doing a few more mods.

Rick91GT on here makes his own set of torque box reinforcements made out of stainless steel. I use them and its a really nice kit and good for piece of mind. His are a bit better than the other kits i've seen on the market because they also include a 2nd plate that adds extra support so its a 6 bolt kit as opposed to the 4 bolt kits.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what is a torque box? I've seen the term on here a few times, but I didn't know!

I'd have to get under the car tomorrow and take some if I remember. I put them in when I did my maximum motorsports lca's. I'd recommend them if your doing new control arms. The harder bushings will also put more stress on the boxes. Once the lca nut is removed, its not too hard to put them in. Just be sure to mark your holes correctly before you drill. Throw some paint on the holes afterwords.
