If you lost a lot of mph through the traps, it's probably too much converter. What did it run before the converter change, and what does it run now? ET and mph please.

Second that, thats is a lots of stall for a street car and it is slowly burning up your tranny. Suggest you take it out asap.

What gear do you have in the car? If at anytime the car shifts and runs under 4000rpm- then your stall is way too big. There are other things to look at as well but thats the most obvious tip I can think of. The last timne one of my automatics started stalling super high it was because the think was cooking and eventually burned up completely. Be carefull. At 4000rpm it must be a 9" or smaller converter....right?

I AM RUNNING 410 GEARS AND IT IS A 8 INCH CONVERTER, IF I SHIFT AT 6000 IT ONLY DROPS LIKE 800 RPM
