Torque Specifications

veeeery happy with it. only problem i have is i spilled some coolant down an exhaust flange and crystalyzed an O2 sensor :(

i did not get a tune, car runs great as it is. no hesitation under WOT. i absolutly love it.

dont know the HP cuz i didnt dyno it yet...

if i'm recalling correctly, im pretty damn sure the head bolt specs were...

1. 28-31 ft-lb's
2. 90* extra turn
3. Loosen 1 full turn (first part stretches the bolt)
4. 28-31 ft-lb's again
5. 90* turn
6. another 90* turn

do each step to all bolts before going on.

intake manifold bolts are like 14-20 lb-ft's i think. and retorque after hot, but i didnt and im fine.

but yeah, if you're not perfect on the specs, dont worry. i only used a tq wrench on the head bolts and manifold bolts.

hardest part is getting the dip stick tube on, you WILL NEED an extra person at least to guide it in. its a difficult step and takes lots of patience. i didn thave to cut my old on before removing it. when u put it on, bolt it ot the head (or valve cover if you're 01+ heads) before putting the head on.

exhaust flange bolts were a pain just cuz i havent unbolted them in 8 years

dont mix up ur guides and tensionors, they're different.

i learned so much from this and researched it alot. if you have any more questions just PM/IM or post back.

oh, did u tap ur CT sensor yet?

yeah, i'm rebulding the block so i need those specs. i'm also trying to find the intake manifold assembly. i saw it in ford racing but not anywhere else. any ideas?

thanks that helps a lot. i'm pretty much stuck without the intake assembly though. i'm going to do the pi head swap but i have a 96 2v block with just heads so i need everything else to replace it. i was able to find somethings but not much.
