My girlfriend and I were coming home from church on Sunday afternoon when it happened. It was raining pretty steadily. Just about to cross over a bridge, going from a one lane onto a two lane. There is a one or two inch asphalt lip that you run up onto and I think the rear end hopped a bit and swung around. I countersteered to no avail. Did about two 360's while at the same time crossing the median. I saw a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction...right in my out of control path. Our rear ends collided hard, swinging him around and popping me up onto a curb. Cracked the front wheel in half, destroyed the passenger side rear quarter and broke the gas tank filler tube releasing my 15 gallons of gas. None of us were hurt thank God. I don't know what to do now. I know the insurance company won't give me much on a 10 year old car and will probably hassle me if I ask for all my aftermarket parts. Anyone with experience in this?

Dude, that sucks. I'm glad you are all OK though. I've been planning on getting an "agreed value" plan from my insurance as I'll never get back what I have in it if I were to wreck it. I know you can get them to cut you a check for what they feel it will cost to repair it, and then buy your own aftermarket parts, but this takes a while from what I hear. Good luck, and nothing else I'd see about buying it back and then either salvaging what you can and put them on another car, or parting it out. If you part it out let me know at killercanary@hotmail.com

I'll have to see what they want for the car first then if I buy it back, I'll let everyone know what I have to get rid of.
I may just buy an F150 and save up for the 05 model.

That suck to hear that but thank God everyone is o.k. that's more important then the car (I think). I'm intrested in the c&l mass air and 65mm TB. Pesonaly if it's not worth saving let the insurance take it but minus the mods. My buddy did that with his fox a few years ago the insurance company picked up pretty much a shell of a stang and never said a word about it.

If they total it, ask how much to buy it back from them and then either fix it or part it out. This is your only hope of getting some of your money back. Glad to hear you guys weren't hurt.

They totaled it like I expected. Bought it back for $1100. Once I have it towed to a friend's house, I'll start stripping it down. I'll send an email with parts availability to everyone that replies to this post.

You could make quite a bit parting it out atleast, if you have the time to do it. Im sure it will all depend on their " quote "

I myself am in need of a few things, hit me up with that list too!

Glad to hear you two are okay! Tough call '05 or 94-95?
Email me with the list, but I could use the right corner light (don't need the white clip someone else needed, just the housing if its stock): shishonobariki@yahoo.com
thanks
