touchy ignition

I just bought a new ignition and key and put it on.When I drive down the road and hit a bump the radio shuts off or the car will shut off.It did this before the new ignition.If it shuts off I have to turn the key a little bit and it will turn back on.Does anyone know what the problem is as it is very annoying.

sounds like you installed a new ignition lock. there is a switch back in there that was a recall item, IIRC.
people often lose the radio, turn signals, etc when the switch is on the outs. call the dealer - you might be able to get it fixed for free.

hissin's right,sounds like the ignition switch.it's a fairly common problem.
