Tough decision to sell or not to sell.

I have sort of a strange question and feel only real mustang owners can properly advise me as to what I should do, so here it is. I have 2 commuter cars that me and my wife use to get to and from work and whatever else. I also have a 88GT Mustang that I really enjoy having and plan on performing mods on it as I can. I don’t exactly have room for 3 cars and have been thinking about selling a car. It has been a toss up between one of our commuter cars and the stang. My Mustang has about 120K on it right now and runs well and I am willing to spend money on it to keep it running as time takes its toll on it. With the amount of mileage on the car is it recommendable to sell my commuter car and use the stang as an everyday driver? What sort of confidence can I have towards an 88GT?

I vote for keeping the stang, with 120,000 miles, it should go a lot further, if you take care of it and change the oil regularly. If its stock, it should get in the 25mpg range. My brothers 90 gt has 200,000 on it and he drives it every day, and its still running strong, even with mutiple 200hp nitrous runs under its belt.

This is a no-brainer. Keep the Stang. I've got an 86 with a hell of allot more than 120,000 miles on it. A well kept Ford 302 is good for at LEAST twice that and often three times that. You'll regret ever having sold it and be looking for another to replace it. All the while you'll be trying to justify to the Mrs. why you need another Stang vs. having to only convince her of why you need that 347 with the Aeromotive fuel system, 18 lbs of boost, 5 lug conversion and complete Kenny Brown suspension and frame kit with the race panhard bar, to control the beefed up 8.8 with Moser axles and Baer brake kit. See???? It's simple!

That was the direction I was leaning, but not being very familiar with the small block 302 and mustangs in general wasn't sure if 120K was a lot for the block. I think that has sealed the deal.
