Guys I am wanting to put a tower brace on my car to help improve the cornering of my 07 GT. Who makes one that will clear my cowl cover? I really like the cover, you know how I am about shiney things. And I know this has probably been discussed before, but that would be my AADD.

I will check on the Ford Racing brace. That would go better with my "Powered by Ford" GT appearence package cowl cover. Here is the problem with that. I have dealth with the dealerships here, and they have proven to be less than compentant as far as information. I just dont want to buy it, then have to go through the trouble of returning it.

I have the brace from BMR and it works fine. Now it does "ride" on the cover slightly and I put washers under the brace to raise it slightly but haven't had a problem since I installed it in Jan '05

I bought the GT500 stb, I have no problem with it clearing the factory manifold cover, also no issue with hood clearance.

BMR makes one specifically for clearing the plenum cover.

Steeda and Blue Oval Industries, among others, also have STBs that fit over a plenum cover. Check this thread at Mustangs Source Forums.

Thanks for the BMR link..oh and btw ! I just noticed your from Buffalo, NY..I'm originally from Lockport, and have remained a die hard Bills and Sabres fan ever since..Speaking of which, thank goodness that Kevin Everett is expected to make a full recovery, and will be able to walk again following his spinal cord injury this past Sunday..

Amen to that; it's the best news anyone could hope for....Just praying there are no set backs.

I live about 15 min from the Ralph. Bills season might be over before it even got started with all those injury's (have never seen a game when a team could have lost four starters for they year)
