I don’t have a vid I can post so bare with my attempt to picture and describe this best I can.

It’s a cold night, cold enough to easily see the exhaust from the tips. While the car is idling at normal operating temperature both tips are puffing exhaust smoothly and evenly.
Then there’s a single large puff from both tips, goes back to an even idle for 3-5 seconds.
Then the right side has a large puff followed immediately by the left side having a large puff.
Then it’ll idle smooth again for 15-20 seconds and start over with a large puff from both tips.
Any suggestions what might be causing this?

I’ve cleaned the MAF, IAC and TB but wondering if this is TPS related. Car runs and feels extremely smooth everywhere except at idle. I don’t experience anything like hanging idle at 1100rpm and dropping to 800rpm, it doesn’t want to stall on me, nothing like that but I can feel this (miss) from inside the car and it’s annoying the hell out of me.

Thanks,
-Cale

Hmm, no thoughts on this?
I take it I’m over-reacting and everyone’s GT idles this way.

only way to really clean the maf is to remove the actual black harness and take a brush with dielectric spray and get any grit or oil off of it. i tried spraying mine before to clean it, and i still had problems. i removed it, took the brush to it and cleaned it, and it immediatly fixed itself.

Thanks for at least replying. I’ve cleaned the MAF already, I used electrical contact cleaner and a thin pipe cleaner (smoking) pipe cleaner works great btw, along with TB and IAC. Tried fuel system treatment, fuel injector cleaner, replaced fuel filter, changed and properly gapped plugs. Checked for vacuum leaks, cracked intake, MAF housing.
So, what do you folks think, do I need to check the TPS voltage, sound like a coil pack going bad. I’m open for suggestions.
