I have always heard the closer to .99 the better performance you get.
Where did you hear that between .85 and .99 is ok. Just curious.

as Derek said, the computer should zero out the baseline upon start up/throttle closing. either it can zero it out or it will be out of range and toss a code (the puter can adapt ~25%).
that said, i dont mind seeing people mess with it - people have idle surging issues, etc which were not necessarily foreseen when the E.M. was designed. so mess with it if you want.
