NE1 ever notice if the tangs are longer on stock friction discs as opposed to the discs that come in a rebuild kit? I did my trac-lok rebuild a few years ago and my memory ain't quite what it used to be. I added an extra friction disc and eliminated one plain steel plate on each side. The rebuild kit had six friction discs so I used two of my best old ones for the additional friction area. I had my diff cover off today and noticed that the tangs are about .200" longer on the original friction discs. I guess its something that didn't stand out in my memory when I did the rebuild, but it threw me off for a minute today when I was inspecting the trac-lok.

Ya your right... You can see in the pic the longer one as I set mine up with an extra friction and used an old one.
