Tracing Car History

Can anybody help with the history of my '65 convertible. Bought in Norwich, UK in Jan this year. There is no door plate but the engine plate VIN reads 5R08C132344.

While nothing is impossible, trying to trace the complete owner history of a 40 yr old car that has likely seen multiple owners and has migrated out of the United States will probably be very difficult, especially if you did not get a good paperwork trail with the car when you bought it. As for your VIN, it tells you the model year is is a 65 convertible built in San Jose, equiped with a 289 2bbl engine. The last six digits (consecutive units) suggest a likely build date of late (Oct/Nov) 1964. Hope this is some help
