First time out just wanted to share my times and get some opinions.

60ft---------1.83
1/8th-------8.8
mph--------77

This is with the 90 LX T5Z(2.95 1st) launching at 4000 with M/T's.
Stock bottom/heads/cam/intake.
Including:electic fan, no smog, underdrive crank pulley, shorties w/dumps, 4.10's.

Is this average?

*edited* This is NOT powershifting

I'm happy with the time simply because its faster than my old beefed up 4.6

I also find it interesting that I ran quicker than my old 85 considering my 1st gear ratio is killing my launch and I have kept a full interior.

I just pulled a set of "P" heads for $100 so when I finish porting them along with the rest of the remaing bolt-on's the car should be pretty solid not only for the track, but also the street. OOOHHH this is fun.

thanks MOB, same to you. I followed your "P" swap thread for a while, just wondering how you like it now, and if you got all the bugs worked out? This will be my first set of P's (ported) on a personal car however my buddies 347 with fully ported p's worked very well....I hope to do the same; only thing that remains undecided is the camshaft.

Our P headed car recently went 7.48 in the 1/8 (11.6-11.7 in the 1/4), on a stock bottem end, stock cam and all the supporting mods. Never underestimate the GT40s!

Im hoping to go to the track this wed. I dont think I have all the bugs worked out as it dosent seem as fast as i think it should, but ive kinda given up on it for a while. Sick of spending money and taking it apart and putting it back together, its not over heating, not burning coolant or oil, so im just driving it to get from point a to b, we'll see how the track goes.
