alright im thinking about getting a dedicated set of track wheels and tires... what brands should i be looking at? so far ive been looking at bogart (not sure on how $$$ they are) and weld racing's.

for normal street use i'm going to run 17x9 cobra R's and 17x10.5 in the rear and for tires Nitto 555R's 315/35 R17's (what about front tires?)

now for the track.... wondering about what sizes mean what... its confusing as hell to me.

for wheels the weld racing's look good to me... heres what i was plannning on getting.

(2) 15"x10" 6.5" BS/5"x4.5" BC Weld Racing Draglite 90-series Wheel

what size ET Drags for those wheels?

what about front skinies?.... these are for the track only obviously.

or is it possible to run the welds on the street and not have to buy some cobra R's?....

thanks

chad

you can drive on the welds all day long.
for the front runners you can get 165r15's they are the perfect radial front runner.
Get the mickey thompson et street radials for the rears...26 x 10.5 x 15
you don't want to mix up radial and bias ply (which any non radial cheater slick are bias ply) on the street. gets a little hairy when it's wet.
if you go w/ the 11.5 wide...you'll need to ditch the quads....the 10.5's hook up well enough you should keep your quads. if you end for end the quads...you will get more clearance too. and be able to keep them..(not w/ the 11.5's)

wait a sec why would i want the ET streets compared to the ET drags? they would be for the track only...

about the front tires for the street... what brand would those be?

i heard that the ET sizes are actually smaller then they say? or is it bigger again im not sure

so the 26.0/10.0-15 ET drags would be a good match w/ the welds?

what about front wheels/tires... i cant seem to find skinnies MT says they have them in the FAQ but i couldnt find them...

thanks

oh my bad...i thought you were saying you wanted to run them all the time. i guess cuz said this

"or is it possible to run the welds on the street and not have to buy some cobra R's?.... "

but yeah if you run the et drags you want the mickey front runners they are about $125@ pretty sure. check any jegs or summit book. if you go radials...they are like $85@ out the door..mounted balanced. if your track only you can do it...but get on the freeway and lookout if it rains. any brand will work...they are the tires that were on vw bugs old style
