Traction Control Woes

I have not spun my car out, but have turned a few corners sideways with the tires smoking. In my experience you won't loose traction on dry pavement very easy with the TC off. If you let the clutch out in first and get rolling the car won't spin the tires if you floor it. In my experience the new stangs hold the road much better than my 91 LX 5.0 did. That car would slide all over the place. I spun it out several times.

By the way,the guy above a few replys who has the 68/69 charger with 600hp and says its no harder to handle then his 05 stang,,,YOUR A MORON!!! I dont care if it has a 318,the car handles like crap compared to the 05,it brakes terrible compared to the 05,gas mileage is horrendus,,ect....
Kid you started this thread so be prepared to get alot of sh@t!!! The best way to get to know your car is to beat the living sh@t out of it!!
Go find an empty parking lot where no one is around,take the traction control off and start doing some donutes!!(360's) power brake it,make some smoke,,feel how much power it has!! Just keep the gas pedal nailed to the floor and do some figure 8's and donutes!!
You will feel more comfertable in the car afterwards!!

I think you should learn to read better because he didn't say that the 68 Charger R/T is no harder to handle than the 05 Mustang GT.
Secondly the 05 Mustang GT has a traction control calibration that is much more liberal than on past mustangs. On an 03-04 as soon as the tail begins to step out the T/C will step in. On the 05 I can hang the tail out at least 1 foot before the T/C will kick in. On street tires I can do a full burnout with the T/C on. Try that with the previous stangs.

Hey, watch what you say about B-bodies! And yeah, I learned how to drive in empty parking lots with no one else around...not that I'd personally recommend it or anything...
