traction for convertible?

i have a 1994 GT Convert. with a few mods. but someone told me i need traction arms or something like that to get a better launch?? Im aready using Hoosier Slicks from a stock car... i think i launch pretty good, but ppl told me i would launch better.... anyone help me out?
