When you let off the throttle the car starts to act like it is trying to grab. It upshifts fine, its only when you let off of the throttle. Is this the tranmission, rearend or something else? also it acted like it went into neutral after slowing down alot. I gave it some gas and it reved up then went into gear.

I searched and it sounds like it might be the mlps?

edit: When it firsted started doing this I had changed
tv adder 1-2 = 50
1-2 time=0
tv adder 2-3 = 75
2-3 time=0
tv adder 3-4 = 75

Also, I went to the track that night. The first time I noticed it was messed up was on the 3rd pass the rpms shot up (went into neutral)

I have changed all the tv adders back to stock, and it still does it.

this is probably the tranmission , is your transmission leaking, or a what speed does it shift into overdrive?

replaced the mlps and still have the problem. It does not seem to do it until it gets warm. When it shifts, sometimes it will go into neutral for a second. Then when it starts to slow down, it will almost start bucking. Best way I can describe it, is it feels like you hit the brakes then let off.

bump

This is getting worse. Today I had driven 200feet and it went into neutral. Does anyone know anything about replacing the mlps harness?

you may need to take it to a tranny shop they should be able to diagnos it for free, my guess is the bands have warn out, change back to stock settings and see if that change it.

replace the mlps, and now the mlps harness but still have problems.

If you put it in 2 it will take off normal, but in d it will rev up.

It still jerks when slowing down too

It seems to only start the jerking after it warms up (not real sure about this)

but it does the neutral thing when its cold or warm

I have a massive cooler (30k)mounted below my radiator. I am also running mercon V

Does anyone know what a good rebuild kit brand is for a 4r70w?
