Tranny help

in my search to find a T5 and related parts, i found a guy who has a complete setup from an orginal mustang (toploader 4 spd).

he said i could have everything for 1k. would it be worth it getting this setup or going for the t5? i wouldnt have to worry about any incoviences (driveshaft,cables,linkages) with the 4spd, but i wont have overdrive.

what do you think?

You could probably piece together a 5 speed swap for the same price.I used 4 spd linkage and my same drive shaft and starter.I have the 5 spd bell housing with fulcrum and new tranny crossmember

i think im gonna go 5 speed. that way i can throw a lil more gear in it and be fine. These 2.80s are KILLIN me lol

when it talkes about early vs late model bellhousing. what exactly does this mean?

There is no such thing as a good USED 4-speed.....go with the T-5.

Exactley WHAT 4-speed linkage did you reuse on a t-5 conversion?
