I'm in the middle of a clutch change, the tranny is out. Below is a list of what I have done and am going to do....

Flywheel has been resurfaced
Pilot bearing has been replaced
Installing a SPEC Stage 1 clutch
Installing a Steeda clutch cable and quadrant

Since I have everything apart, is there anything else I should do? It was such a pain in the @ss to get to this point that I don't want to miss this opportunity to do everything at once. Thanks.

I assume you have a throw out bearing as well, if not definately get one. if you want to replace everything there is also the fork arm and pivot point on the bellhousing that the fork rests on, those two pieces are like a total of $30, I would do it since your there. but other than that it sounds like you have it all, I bet your having fun. Wait till you try to get the tranny back up there <---me laughing at you!!

Good luck!

PS you matchmarked your DS and your flywheel to reinstall exactly the same right??

It's one hell of a heavy tranny. You will need two people to get it back into place.

Yep, the throwout bearing is what started all of this, the squeal was driving me nuts. It came with the SPEC clutch. As for the Flywheel, it only goes on one way, the bolt holes are staggered so you can't put it on wrong. Everything went back together late last night. Tranny wasn't as hard as I thought it would be to get back in. Now I just need to go pick up my driveshaft during lunch to finish this nightmare project.

I'm glad I did it myself, but will never do it again.....
