Hello everybody.
I would first like to thank everyone for some great ideas, with your help I have taken care of some small problems. While I was under the car replacing the oil pan gasket (6 cyl. 200) I noticed a leak just above the transmission pan. Their is a nut with a threaded rod thru the center( I think it is a 1\2 nc rod) It is between the bottom of the transmission pan and the floor pan, it looks like it could be a drain plug. Can anyone tell me what this could be and the proper way to fix this leak.

Thanks again Denis

that's not a drain plug. that is your band adjustment screw. DO not remove that or turn it unless you know what you are doing. you need to make sure that if you do remove it, that you put it back in the EXACT same number of turns/threads, as it will effect your shift points etc. in your tranny.

if you do pull it, throw some Teflon tape on it, but be mindful of where you put it on the threads - not too far in or the teflon will get into the tranny.
