tranny problems

in third and fouth gear my tranny makes this whirring sound from 1000 to 1500...any idea of what it could be?? i've ground the gears a couple of times, stupidity really i dont know if that has anything to do with it though

Check the fluid level. Could be low.

Mine does the same thing, but I only really started noticing after installing a Steeda Tri-Ax, so I guess this is just normal noise increase because of the nature of it.

How do I check the Transmission Fluid?....I checked my manual but its soooooo vague.

Left side of the tranny (I think) there is a fill plug. Unscrew it. Fluid should be flush or leaking out of the hole.
