tranny problems????

k my car has been runnin wierd from day one. first off in low rpms the car shakes but if i get it past 2500 it doesnt. also my transmission leaks alot of oil, at first i thought it was coming from the oil pan so i replaced the gasket and filter and it still leaks. this transmission also came out of a v6 and has the v6 torq converter.
another thing alot of the gt and v6 parts were interchange able was the cross member or not, cause the car vibrates in high rpms. thank to anyone with any input

Well....

1.) I know you can use the v6 trans., but I am thinking the torque convertor from a v6 won't work for a GT.

2.) Have you cleaned any sensors on the car? Give the Mass Air, IAT, etc. a good cleaning to help eliminate any possible power loss sources.

i cleaned the maf sensor last year. put new plugs, cap, rotor and wires

The crossmembers are identical between the V6 and GT, so is the tranny mount. The torque converters on Fords (not just Mustangs) are known for shuddering when they start to wear out. The longer you drive the car with the shuddering, the more damage you may do to your transmission. Time for a new torque converter.
