Hey guys how is it going?
I have a 1996 mustang gt with 150k on it, the tranny went out about 3 weeks ago, had it rebuilt professionally and all... I put the tranny back in and I filled it up I have no leaks no nothing.. Good news there, but any how when I go to put the car into gear I have to wait a little bit before it goes into gear, and same as well as reverse. Also when I am going down the road it revs up a little bit and goes into gear no bagging issues no shifting hard issues nothing.. it shifts awesome really smooth and all when driving besides those issues what do you guys think it could be waiting to have it go into gear ( about 3 sec wait and as well as reverse. What could it be?

It could be low on fluid as well as too much fluid. It could also be the incorrect fluid.

The fluid level is best checked with the transmission at full operating temperature. Do not check after an extended high speed drive (too hot). Do not over fill. Look for bubbles (indicates overfilling or air leaks).

However, at some level it seams odd that the professional re-builder is not available to assist.
