i currently have a 3 spd auto (c4) and im thinking that its in need of a rebuild. the thought of switching to a stick shift came up and got me thinking. Depeneding if i went with a 3/4 speed would be different then a t5 im assuming. one of my main questions was how to go about putting in a clutch pedal.

also, since this car is not a DD anymore, which would you choose to put in? any tips or suggestions are welcome!

some people reccomended a tranny shop around town and i called em. said they would rebuild the c4 for 400 and throw in a shift kit for 45 bucks. hows that sound? no its not a stick, but its ALOT less work.

I am in the process of deciding whether to keep the FMX or go with a C4 setup and have a quote of $450 for a rebuild with shift kit so I would say it is a good deal especially if they have a good reputation of standing behind their work. Good luck

Who's removing and re-installing the transmission? If they are, that's pretty cheap---almost too cheap. I'd get a list of everything that's included.

Hate to get it on the hoist and have them say, we forgot to tell you that R & R is not included.

My price was strictly for them doing the internal tranny work with me doing the removal and install.
