wondering if anyone has any feedback on the T56 tranny. I currently have a T5 behind a 300+hp 289 but I am adding a paxton so I don't think it will hold up. Any transmission(manual) suggestions/recommendations?

I may be mistaken, but I don't think a T56 will bolt up to a 289. If you want the ultimate in strength for your motor, then a good old Toploader is what you want. If you want the OD gears too, then a Tremec 3550 is next in terms of strength.

You might find what you're looking for there. Maybe you should also look into the Richmond.

I'd consider the richmond sir, from what I have heard it is VERY strong, it is supposed to be a drop in replacement for a T-5 and is a 6-spd, single OD. (well the one I'm thinking of anyhow. Look at gp001's setup.
