Trans Leak In '91 2.3

I bought this car a few days ago, and last night noticed some fluid leaking from the front area of the trans. A guy I know is telling me the trans is overfull and leaking excess fluid from the overflow. Never heard of this. Is it possible? I can't check it myself since it's at my buddy's house. Thanks for any info.

Absolutely, happens all the time. It can also overflow if its under filled, the fluid can foam, and expand, then it will puke out the overflow tube. But you could also be leaking from any number of other seals.

Thanks for the reply, man. Where does it overflow from? Going over in the morning to try to start on it.
