trans problem

ok so the car sat for a week or so cuz i had a hole in the power steering line and i finally got that fixed and then im so excited i drive it out to the g.f. grandmas house about a 15 mile trip and it sat there for an hour or so...well we leave and i make i half a mile and go to get back on it as i come up over this hill and it just revs up... so i stop and move it to 1st and nothing put it in park and it parks and the car wont roll well i put it in drive and it will roll (by me pushing it) but not drive.....so i got back to her house to get a jack to see if the cable fell off or somethin and i try to move it first and it move fine perfect like nothing has happen but like 100yrds down same thing....shut it off wait 5 min it moves....at soem points it sounds like a clunking noise come from under the car or a spinnig noise?...kinda so i got it home and it does the same thing still any ideas?....clogged trans filter?...bad tranny?...bad torque converter?....idk i have no ideas just what ideas people throw at me im just the guy that drives and wrenches not to good at finding the problem ANY!!! ideas or help would be great but with low fund its just gonna be sittin for a cpl weeks min thank you in advance

Did you check the fluid level? If it is low it will do the same thing you posted..

Does the fluid smell burnt? Do you see any particles in the fluid? When was the last time you changed the fluid and filter?

Check the fluid level first, then go from there.

If that checks out, then look at the filter next.

If those are okay, it sounds like the torque convertor's gone.

it look to have fliud in it didnt smell burnt and i havent got to working on it yet as i dont want to tear it apart and not b able to fix it but i will def look into all this stuff when i do get the time
