Trans question... Will it fit?

Im not fimiliar with tranny's... But I found a trans with a clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and bellhousing from a 88GT. The clutch is a RAM. I have a 91 LX. The mech will install and give a warranty for 90 days and all he wants is $250. I know the price is a deal if it works, but I just want to make sure it is compatable.

83-93 transmissions are all interchangeable....

86-93 clutches all interchange

91LX5.0 t-5 rated at 300 ft-lbs of torque

Well if the torque is rated lower, should I just have mine rebuilt? Cause I know fordmotorsports has a rebuild kit for about the same price.

i would get it b/c it is worth more than that on ebay or can keep it as a spare.
